Takumi Mima
Born in 1993 in Yokosuka, Japan, Takumi Mima started his musical career as violist, after studing at Tokyo University of Arts and Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris. He has participated in several festivals includig Lucerne Festival, taking part of great composers' premieres such as Rebecca Saunders, Mark André, Franck Bedrossian, Simon Steen-Andersen and Malin Bång,
As he finishes his study at Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris, his aspect as composer reveals. He studied composition with Suzanne Giraud, orchestration and analysis with Anthony Girard and electro-acoustic music with Gino Favotti.
His pieces are performed by several musicians that orchestral piece Ondulado-Perdiendo by ANIMA, Orchestre et lyrique, and Double Recital I by Mathieu Dubroca and L’Itinéraire. The viola piece Yuragi were premiered by Takumi himself at his recital at Tokyo and Zushi.
Takumi Mima is a member of Ensemble Toneseek since 2023.
